Micro Current Applications for  
Anti-Aging, Wound-Care & Facial Rejuvenation

In reviewing this Micro Current phenomena and the applications for acceleration of the healing of injured and/or traumatized human tissues, one can begin with the many Wound-Care studies performed over the years. Each of the studies shows a dramatically accelerated healing as compared to "normal" or "expected" results from more standardized or conventional treatments. For those of a scientific nature, more information on these studies, journal references, etc are available from the author. Probably one of the best scientific inquiries is from a Dr Mark Biedebach, of the University of California at Irvine in his paper: ACCELERATED HEALING OF ISCHEMIC SKIN ULCERS THROUGH USAGE OF MICRO CURRENT ELECTRICAL STIMULATION AND THE INTRACELLULAR MECHANISMS INVOLVED.

In his paper, Dr. Biedebach explains the mechanisms that contribute to the accelerated healing of these wounds and skin ulcerations. He and other researchers have looked at the various types of electrical current: the waveforms, the output characteristics (Voltage and Amperage), the frequencies, duration of treatments and many other variables. Though there was no one conclusion, the research and progression of time has led to the development of more sophisticated equipment and, often times more important, the development of application techniques that produce extended results. To that end, the Electro-Tech Micro Current systems combine the best of the Micro Current waveforms, frequencies and other output characteristics with the best of the attended treatment modalities to produce the latest and best results on the current marketplace. Our equipment has been tried and field-tested with live patients and the wound care results have provided results well above any expectations from the participating Long Term Care facilities using the equipment.

The research scientists that were looking at the mechanisms of how a wound was healing were noticing that several important physiological processes were observable. First that for the wound to heal, a connective tissue sheath was forming over the wound. In many cases this sheath, or covering was observable from the beginning fo a treatment through it's conclusion - by the time therapy was completed, the patient would exhibit evidence of this covering when none was visible before treatment. This did not happen on every treatment, but when sufficient stimulation was given (some patients this took 4 to 10 treatments), the wound began to heal (or glaze) over. This was then followed by vastly accelerated results - the next thing observable was that new skin would shortly follow the new growth of this sheathed layer. Soon, the entire wound would, in most cases, fully heal and close over entirely. Without an open wound, the body no longer becomes succeptible to outside infection…

In observing these healing processes, it can be concluded that once the sheath layer begins to regenerate (this is the fascial layer), that the skin heals at a high rate of speed. Thus new collagen and protein are being formed by the body in order to affect this change. So with wound care patients, if this collagen was reformulating, then how about applications to other parts of the body - like the face… Thus the art of facial rejuvenation was formed through the Micro Current technology.

With our Electro-Tech and MCR-3 equipment and attended treatment techniques, results are visible for most with one treatment session. More profound changes are observable over a series of sessions - wrinkles fade, skin tightens, one can experience a "lifted" look to the facial features and contours again and the skin becomes rehydrated to that of more youthful times. What really is happening here is that:

- Product is being penetrated to the deeper layers of the skin surface

- Skin is becoming more hydrated

- Collagen is being formed and becoming re-hydrated

- Elastin is being formed

- A new connective tissue layer is re-forming, particularly that between the skin and the underlying muscle

- The muscle cells and skin cells in the targeted areas are receiving more nutrients across the cell membrane

- Waste products from normal cellular activity are being released at an accelerated rate

- New skin cells are being formed at an accelerated rate down at the Germitive Layer

- The neuro-muscular re-reducation aspects of treatment are causing a lifted appearance to facial features

- The balancing techniques are creating more facial symmetry from right-to-left sides of the face

- Beneficial Neurotransmitters (helpful brain chemicals) are being released, causing overall relalxation and central nervous system stimulation which has positive effects on one's overall health and well-being, way beyond that of a simple face treatment

In terms of Anti-Aging, well let us state here that the aging process is simply that is characterized by a decline in the absorbtion of normal nutrients, minerals, vitamins, water, oxygen, etc across the cell's membrane. By keeping up the level of nutrient absorbtion across the cell's membrane we can accelerate normal cellular activity. It is estimated that as little as a 1% improvement in the functioning of the cell's mitochondria can add as much as 10 years to our lives. The Not-For-Profit Methuselah Foundation's Chairman Aubrey de Grey fosters a new specialty: Biogerontology, the science of aging. Chairman de Grey states there are 7 root causes of aging, all of which are reversable. Ths list includes: cell atrophy, cell death and unwanted mutations (cancer). Methuselah was a patriarch in the Bible and was said to reach 969 years of age.

Our belief is that cell atrophy and possibly cell death can be reversed using Micro Current technology. We are running postulations, frequencies, waveforms and other variables to address other unwanted mutations and the 4 other factors Chairman de Grey has mentioned. Again, he believes, as do I, that all these factors are reversable.
